I am quite late. So sorry. Our weather is unusually balmy this morning. The dogs and I were out early to get in our much-needed walks. I returned, showered, fixed something to eat, worked on our Christmas Day menu, and completely forgot about blogging.
This painting is of our house, here on the lake. Our good, good, friend, Jean Pollock, painted it and surprised us with it last evening, while we were dining at Salvinos. Richard and I are still in shock. What a wonderful gift.
I cried when I saw it. Jean is a renowned artist. She is also our nearest neighbor, and great friend. Jean is 86 years old.
Her work is not a hobby. Jean's paintings sell for 1000's of dollars.
Jean was sick over the summer and endured gallbladder surgery. Her recovery was slow. Needless to say, we love this tiny lady and all her brood. This painting will be treasured as long as we are on this earth.
